    Ilaria Parini lavora come docente a contratto di Lingua Inglese presso l'Università degli Studi di Milano e presso l'Università IULM di Milano. Si è laureata in Traduzione presso la Scuola Superiore di Lingue Moderne per Interpreti e Traduttori di Forlì (Università degli Studi di Bologna) ed ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Anglistica (indirizzo linguistico-traduttologico) presso l'Università degli Studi di Milano. E' autore del volume Italian American Gangsterspeak. Linguistic characterization of Italian American mobsters in Hollywood cinema and in Italian dubbing (LAP, 2013) e di numerosi articoli pubblicati in volumi e riviste internazionali, soprattutto sulla traduzione di varietà connotate a livello geografico e sociale, sulla censura nella traduzione e sul rapporto tra identità culturale e lingua. Ha partecipato come relatrice a numerosi convegni internazionali.

    Ilaria Parini is a contract lecturer in English at the State University of Milan and at IULM University of Milan, Italy. She graduated in Translation from the University of Bologna at Forlí and holds a PhD in English Linguistics and Translation from the University of Milan. She has published the volume Italian American Gangsterspeak. Linguistic characterization of Italian American mobsters in Hollywood cinema and in Italian dubbing (LAP, 2013) and various articles in books and journals, mainly on the translation of geographically and socially connoted varieties, on the issue of censorship in translation and on the relationship between cultural identity and language. She has presented papers at numerous international conferences.
