L'étude de la coupe carbonatée de Col de Serna (Corse Septentrionale), en transgression sur un complexe volcano-sédimentaire, a permis de mettre en évidence la présence de sédiments du Trias moyen, caractérisés par urie microfaune à Glomospira-Glomospirella. Ces sédiments se rattachent, peutètre, avec ceux de la Sardaigne et de la Provence.
